Our Vision & Mission
Ignite 217 seeks to mobilize the Body of Christ in the 217 area code region to transform the region by the power of the Holy Spirit. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.
The mission of Ignite 217 is threefold.
First, we week to gather the believers in the 217 area for prayer. We know that the prayers of the righteous have power and so we gather to lift up prayers for our government officials, our church leaders, schools, businesses and families.
2 Chronicles 7:14
Secondly, we believe that there is power in our corporate worship. When the Body of Christ in the city & region comes together worship Jesus and magnifyHis greatness, things happen!Mountains move and demons tremble at the mention of His name. We believe that the Lord inhabits the praises of His people.
Third, we believe in serving our city. The city should feel the impact of the believers in that city. We seek to mobilize worshippers to serve communities and impact every sphere with His love and power. Transformed people transform people.
1. We are praying that God will change us, individually and our city, through His love & grace.
1 Corinthians 13
2. We are praying that we would commit ourselves to trust God, believe Him & His Word, and to fear & love Him.
Proverbs 30:5, Ephesians 1:13-14, John 17:17
3. We are praying that we, as believers, would ask God not only what He has for us to do, but how He would have us do it.
4. We are praying that the Lord would give us a burden for saving souls.
John 3:16, Jeremiah 3:14, Luke 10:1-8
